Very beautiful and sought after Hermes Silk Scarf “Acte III, Scene I, La Clairiere» by Edouard Baribeaud.
The name of this design is taken straight from Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Written in the late 16th century, this enchanting comedy of errors draws its humour from the confusion caused by falling in love. In a magical forest, young lovers, a theatrical troupe, fairies and elves cross paths and commingle in endless plot twists. In the moonlight, Titania, queen of the fairies, her eyelids impregnated with a love potion, falls madly in love with Bottom, an actor metamorphosed into an ass. In this illustration of the scene, Édouard Baribeaud pays homage to Baroque theatre, Indian miniatures and early cinema.
The background colours are brown, orange, black and natural. The most rare colour way.
